Co-founder of Taiora & Lead Mindfulness Educator
Kristina (Krissy) Cavit is a dedicated champion for community wellbeing and a leader in accessible mindfulness education in Aotearoa. As the co-founder of Taiora and the founder of The Kindness Institute, Krissy has spent over a decade developing and delivering high-impact programmes for those facing high-stress environments, including youth, educators, and social service professionals.
Her unwavering commitment to youth and community development was formally recognised when she was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM). This prestigious honour reflects her years of service in creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to transform their lives.
Brady Polkinghorne (Ngāti Tamaterā)

Brady Polkinghorne is a seasoned practitioner and leader in the space of Māori hauora (wellbeing), bringing a wealth of experience in blending indigenous wisdom with modern practical tools. As the co-founder of Taiora, Brady’s mission is to provide teams with the ancestral and contemporary resources they need to thrive, even in high-pressure environments.
Before founding Taiora, Brady served as the Director at The Kindness Institute, where he played a pivotal role in delivering mindfulness and wellbeing support across Aotearoa. His background is unique, having a foot in both the digital innovation and community wellbeing sectors. Brady was instrumental in the development of the globally recognized Headspace website, giving him a deep understanding of how to make mental health support accessible and engaging in the modern world.
